Barely-There Spring 2012 Couture Makiage

With the exception of Alexis Mabille's pink, blue and purple faces, and Givenchy's odd nose rings, makeup took a second row during the Spring 2012 couture shows in Paris. Gone are the days of uber-dramatic eyes, the boldest of lips, the craziest of hair-dos, and the most dramatic of eyebrows.  Instead, couture designers opted for either a statement cat eye, soft blush or translucent lips. Very refreshing, actually, as nothing distracted us from the spectacular clothes.
